Tasks & accountabilities


Your main tasks will include:


  • Support the Regional Manager in developing the Procurement function in the Region, in line with generic rules, processes and values of Airbus
  • Prepare the project plan and supporting documents for the digitalisation of ways of working for General Procurement
  • Conduct a thorough analysis of existing APAC Procurement processes to identify all critical manual trackers (e.g., tracker sheets for supplier performance) currently maintained outside the official e-Procurement system, and to replace it through automation where possible
  • Develop targeted training materials and user guides focused on leveraging the system's full potential, ensuring users abandon manual workarounds in favor of standardized, efficient digital processes.
  • AI Proof-of-Concept: Research and propose new uses for Generative AI (GenAI) and other emerging technologies to enhance buyer productivity, such as automated Request for Proposal (RFP) preparation, improve spend categorization accuracy or develop supplier query resolution chatbots.
  • Contribute to managing supplier relationships
  • Contribute to proactive management of the relationship with internal business partners to ensure target level of customer satisfaction for the Region/Divisions. 
  • Support the Regional Manager in driving and monitoring change management, to ensure a successful implementation of Procurement in the region and ensure the buy-in of the internal stakeholders.   
  • Ensure regular two-way communication with key functional and local customers on Procurement needs, expectations and initiatives.
  • Support requestors through awareness sessions (Procurement process explanations…).
  • Support on the daily procurement requests 
  • Support negotiation with suppliers


 

This role may involve some travel for business within the Asia Pacific Region  and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.


Required skills


You have the following skills and experience:


● Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Procurement/Supply Chain or a related discipline.

● Existing experience in Procurement and/or digital transformation-related roles would be a bonus.

  • Technical Systems Proficiency: SAP, Microsoft Office, Google
  • Workspace applications. Some experience with e-Procurement systems such as Coupa and/or data visualisation tools is a bonus.
